NHS Treatment

The charge you pay depends on the treatment you need to keep your mouth, teeth and gums healthy. You will only ever be asked to pay one charge for each complete course of treatment, even if you need to visit your dentist more than once to finish it – either Band 1, Band 2 or Band 3.

If you are not exempt from charges, you should pay one of the following charges for each course of treatment you receive:

There are 3 Bands:
Bands Treatments Fees
Band 1 This covers an examination, diagnosis (eg. X-rays), advice on how to prevent future problems, a scale and polish if needed, and application of fluoride varnish or fissure sealant.  If you require urgent care, even if your urgent treatment needs more than one appointment to complete, you will only need to pay one Band 1 charge. £22.70
Band 2 This covers everything listed in Band 1 above, plus any further treatment such as fillings, root canal work or if your dentist needs to take out one or more of your teeth. £62.10
Band 3 This covers everything listed in Bands 1 and 2 above, plus crown, dentures and bridge.  £269.30

Patients are able to mix treatment options and have both NHS and private work under the same course of treatment. Detailed estimates giving all the options available will always be given to the patient.

To All Our Valued Patients,

As our community deals with the increasing incidence of Covid-19 and the changing advice, we would like to reassure you that, as always, we are here for you and shall continue to act to ensure the health and the safety of you and our team.

We deeply care for the wellbeing of all of our loyal patients, staff and the wider community. It is with this in mind, and the government’s emphasis on social distancing and self-isolation that we have been advised to close whilst the enforced isolation continues. We will of course keep you informed of our intended date of resumption of normal services through our website and emails.

Please rest assured that we will be on the phone, however, for any advice or support that you may otherwise need regarding your dental health. Please do not feel as if you cannot contact us as we are here for you.

We would like to remind you of our constant message to keep up brushing and cleaning in between your teeth. Keeping your mouth healthy is an important part of keeping your immune system healthy.

We appreciate your support at a time that is very difficult for everyone.

Above all, our team implores all patients to follow the government guidance on staying at home and keeping yourself and your loved ones safe during these testing times.

With warmest regards and well wishes,
Everyone at Hainault Dental Practice
